Germany-Munich: Engineering design services for mechanical and electrical installations for buildings
New construction of the research centre for the Institute of Chemical Epigenetics (ICEM):
A Research Centre for Chemical Epigenetics in Munich (ICEM) is to be established at the High-Tech Campus of Ludwig-Maximilians University.
It will be integrated into the immediate neighbourhood of scientific and medical institutions. A structural connection is planned to the BioSysM research plant completed in 2015.
ICEM thus creates the bridge between basic chemical research and medicine.
ICEM’s research aims at clarifying the functions of DNA and RNA bases in cells and decrypting the epigenetic program.
In terms of content, the scientists involved in this project are involved in stem cell research and therapy.
Several larger research groups and independent young independent groups cooperate in the fields of chemical biology, biochemistry and chemistry/pharmaceuticals and develop complementary topics, new approaches and methods in the field of stem cell research. The new construction thus creates an internationally competitive infrastructure.
There is a building right on the land for approximately 3 900 m² of useful floor area (NF 1-6); the room programme for ICEM covers approx. 3 500 m² of useful floor area (NF 1-6).
The structure has four above-ground floors and a basement.
The EnEV in force at the time of planning must be observed.
A consent procedure under Article 73 of the BayBO will be required for special construction under Article 2(4)(7a) and (11) of the BayBO.
The ICEM shall include the following functions:
—Chemical laboratories;
— Biochemistry laboratories;
— Electron microscopy laboratories;
— Computer laboratory;
— Offices;
— Conference room, seminar rooms;
— Central communication areas;
— associated auxiliary rooms.
It follows that, inter alia, the following legal requirements will be relevant:
— Laboratory guidelines (GUV-I-850-0 or BGI 8850-0);
— Regulation on Biomaterials;
— Regulation on genetic engineering safety;
— TRGS 526 laboratories;
— technical rules for biological agents of the Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (TRBA);
—Operational Safety Regulation;
— Assembly Sites Regulation.
The preliminary draft ICEM file in PDF form will be made available to the contact point under I.1 together with the request to participate in accordance with VI.3) when requesting the request to participate.
A virtual project room is foreseen for project management (planning and document data exchange, communication and documentation).
The cost ceiling for the new ICEM construction is EUR 26200000 gross total construction costs.
These costs include cost group 200 to 600 according to DIN 276.
The construction costs of technical machinery may not exceed EUR 6540000 gross. These costs include cost groups 220, 410, 420, 430, 470, 480, 540 according to DIN 276-1:2008-12 (in each case including VAT).
Dates:
Completion of HU construction: 17 December 2016;
Creation of AFU construction: January 2017-August 2017;
Construction start: January 2018;
Construction time: January 2018 – June 2020;
Completion/delivery: August 2020.
Immediately after the end of the VOF procedure, the service starts to be performed.
This starts with the planning and preparation of a budget document (HU-construction) for the construction of new buildings.
