Description

Regular non-binding notice Introduction: DB InfraGO AG is planning to expand the terminal infrastructure at DUSS Terminal Basel. As part of this project, two additional transhipment tracks and three new parking lanes will be created. The documents for the planning law procedure are currently being prepared. Submission to the approval authorities is expected to take place in the second quarter of 2025. Depending on the course of the planning law procedure, the structural implementation can start in 2027. In advance, the new cranes (3 + 1 option) are to be tendered as early as spring 2025. In order to reduce project risks from the duration of the planning law procedure, the new cranes will offer the possibility of retrofitting the bridge girders. Project description: The new cranes will be advertised and installed in the dimensions of the current cranes. After submission of the construction law, the cranes on both sides are to be extended modularly by about 10 meters each, so that the additional transhipment tracks and parking lanes can be operated. For this purpose, two identical expansion modules, each 10 meters long, must be developed. These modules must be permanently, easily and safely mounted on the crane and be compatible for control and operation. Objective: The aim is to develop and implement a modular expansion system that meets the following requirements: - Safe and reliable extension of the crane runway by 10 meters per side. - Easy and quick installation of the expansion modules. - Compliance with all relevant safety standards and regulations. - Minimize downtime during assembly. - Maintaining the load-bearing capacity of 41 tonnes after enlargement. - Optimization of costs through modular design. Timetable: The tendering of the cranes including the option services is to take place in spring 2025, the award / award of the contract is planned for autumn 2025. Building on this is the construction of the 1. Krans planned for autumn 2027.
