Description

Construction and operation of NGA broadband infrastructure for the development of underserved areas on the basis of the so-called economic gap model The subject of this call for tenders is the commissioning of a company with the construction and operation of an NGA network in the still underserved areas of the city of Rietberg. The market investigation procedure has shown that 1,770 private addresses, 42 business addresses and 6 other socio-economic drivers (hereinafter referred to as ‘addresses’) are currently still underserved. The connection of these addresses to an NGA network is the subject of this call for tenders. The contractor is required to take into account its own NGA network, rented third-party power supplies and existing public infrastructure when planning the network and, where economically and technically feasible, to contribute this to the construction of the NGA network, in particular for infrastructure already built under another funding measure. In return for the provision of the investment grant to cover its economic viability gap, the contractor shall have the right and assume the obligation to establish, operate and provide services and offers (telephony, internet, value-added services such as IP TV, as well as wholesale products on an open access basis) to interested end customers and third-party providers at market conditions.
