Subcontractor - Blue Training Expert: Guinea-Bissau Project
GRID-Arendal, through the implementation of a two-phase training on “Blue Planning in Practice” (BPiP) and “Sustainable Blue Economy” (SBE), will provide the local stakeholders with the basics of these integrated approaches and train local trainers to support local communities in the application in their context of the tools and approaches gained. Under this activity, a team of trainers, led by Ms Armelle JUNG, will lead: Activity 4.4.1: BPiP and SBE training: • build capacities and awareness of decision makers, MPA managers, communities, and other local stakeholders on participatory management and sustainable approaches and tools to support the implementation of new management measures put in place in the MPAs and connectivity corridor: a. Blue Planning in Practice (BPiP) training to introduce the theory and practical starting points of coastal and marine spatial planning, aiming to strengthen planning, implementation, and management at sea. b. Sustainable Blue Economy (SBE) training to share approaches that enhance wellbeing, create prosperity, and increase social equity, through activities that protect, regenerate, and maintain the integrity of marine and coastal ecosystems.
