Description

The city of Antwerp wants to set up a new bike sharing system that can replace the current bike sharing system in the course of 2027. In doing so, it wishes to maintain the bicycle sharing offer under the iconic brand name ā€˜Veloā€™ (owned by the city), without interrupting the provision of bicycle sharing services to users. The reliability of the system must be maintained as a minimum and, if possible, extended. The assignment should be viewed as a service agreement, in which the client will bear the investment costs of the bicycles and stations and will receive the income (for example subscription fees). The contractor acts as a service provider. The contractor shall supply and install the relevant infrastructure and bicycles and shall be responsible for the full operation of the shared bicycle system, which shall include at least: regulation of hubs/stations through the redistribution of bicycles, preventive and curative maintenance and repair of bicycles and stations and customer management. In addition, relocations and temporary or non-temporary removals of the infrastructure are also provided for in this assignment in the context of, among other things, activities, optimizations of the network and possibly at the end of this assignment if desired by the client.
