Description

Worcestershire County Council ("WCC") is tendering for the provision of Banking Services. The proposed date for contract award is June 2013, with a service commencement date of 1.9.2013., and will run for a period of 5 years. The Council will require the option to extend the contract for a further 2 years.
WCC undertake treasury services on behalf of Hereford & Worcester Fire Authority ("H&WFA"). The banking requirements for H&WFA are therefore included in the arrangements. Although H&WFA will select the same bank as WCC, a separate contractual agreement will need to be signed.
The service required includes the maintenance of bank accounts (approximately 450 including imprest accounts), cash and cheque handling, BACS transaction processing and other money transmission services associated with local authority banking arrangements. The Council will also require an internet banking service for balance/transaction reporting and payment initiation.
