Description

This consultation concerning the award of a works concession contract aims to grant the right to exploit, for the purpose of extracting materials and under the conditions indicated in the specifications, the bed of the Rivière des Remparts belonging to the public fluvial domain. As early as 1965 studies were devoted to the Rivière des Remparts and the collapse of the rampart of Mahavel's arm. These studies were initially justified by the risk posed by the rupture of the bed dam and the impacts of this collapse on the upwelling of the river bed, particularly in its downstream sector during the crossing of Saint-Joseph. Recent studies show the need to maintain the balance of the profile along the watercourse and to adapt the extraction of materials taking into account the following elements: 1) The raising of the bed raises the water lines during floods and thus increases the risk of flooding 2) Too much extraction could generate a deficit of materials downstream and cause scouring generating collapses of banks or structures Text automatically translated in your browsing language Automatically translated
