The City of Tampere, the City of Ylöjärvi and Tampere Tramway Ltd are jointly tendering for the design consultant's project "Tampere Tramway, Lielahti-Ylöjärvi, Project Plan". The acquisition is a continuation of the detailed general plan for the tramway (12 December 2022). The detailed master plan was approved by Ylöjärvi Council and Tampere City Board in February 2023.
