SUBJECT OF THE PUBLIC ORDER: ‘CREATION OF GREEN INFRASTRUCTURE IN A CITY MEANING TO REDUCE SECOND-PRODUCTION AND IMPROVE AIR IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF ASENOVGRAD’ IN THREE GENERAL POSITIONS, WHERE: Lot 1: Street Landscaping; Lot 2: Landscaping of open public spaces and areas for general public use; Lot 3: Landscaping of inter-block spaces; The subject matter of this contract is the implementation of landscaping in selected areas of the town of Asenovgrad, in accordance with approved dendrological plans for afforestation, the construction of irrigation systems and measures for the interception of vegetation. The subject of the contract includes the following types of main activities: soil preparation of the lands subject to landscaping, planting and growing of planted vegetation according to an approved specification, grassing and construction of irrigation systems, including guaranteed maintenance of vegetation for a period of 24 months after the completion of the activities included in the subject of the respective lot. The contract is awarded in connection with the preparation for the implementation of the activities planned within the scope of the project proposal of the Municipality of Asenovgrad for the award of grants to specific beneficiaries under the Direct Grant Procedure BG1 6FFPR0 02 - 5.008 ‘Green measures in urban environment’ under Priority 5 ‘Air’ of the Environment Programme 2021-2027. The aim of the procedure is to contribute to the improvement of ambient air quality (AAQ) by reducing excess levels of fine particulate matter (PM10) on the territory of municipalities with impaired air quality under this indicator in the period 2017-2021. The planned measures include the implementation of landscaping with tree species and shrub vegetation, as well as grassing along busy urban streets/boolevardas; public open-access public spaces, municipal property designated as green spaces (including urban parks, gardens and inter-block spaces).
