The subject-matter of the contract covered the award, respectively, of the service of transporting mixed municipal waste (code 20 03 01) and biodegradable waste (code 20 02 01) from a site located in Shumen to a pre-treatment plant; their mechanical-biological treatment in an installation provided by the participant, including separation of recyclable fractions and delivery for subsequent recovery; separation and preparation for the recovery of high-calorie fraction (modified fuels); biological treatment of the separated organic fraction and of separately collected ‘green’ waste from maintenance of public areas, parks and gardens (mowing grass, foliage, pre-digested branches and shrubs) through composting or anaerobic digestion; transport and disposal of waste unfit for recycling and/or recovery.
