Delivery of melting technology and continuous casting of copper and copper alloys
Note: Not all information for this procedure were successfully computed. Please consult linked documents for more details.
The subject matter is the delivery of technology consisting of the following parts. Installation of the injection mechanism and subsequent vibrating loading trolley into the melting furnace. Melting furnace, where the prepared batch composed of internal wastes (particle and piece), copper cathodes, zinc and accompanying elements is melted to the desired melting temperature. It is then poured through the gravity trough into the maintenance furnace, where the melt is adjusted to the final chemical composition. Metal is transported from the holding furnace to the horizontal casting equipment. The casting line will be ready for the simultaneous casting of two strips up to a width of at least 500 mm (or up to 530 mm – see chapter. 12.3 and 12.4 (G) ZD) and with a thickness of 21-23 mm. The cast strip will then be moulded from the upper and lower surfaces to remove the undesirable surface layer. The penultimate operation is to shorten the belt on hydraulic shears and then wind the belt into a coil with a maximum external diameter of 2000 mm and a weight of up to 12.5 tonnes.
