Description

It is a test bench for accelerated in vitro durability testing of cardiac valve prostheses, consisting of a pulse pump or other electrodynamic drive, pressure sensors and measurement and evaluation electronics, such as a computer and the associated scanning software. The drive moves test fluid through different test chambers, leading to an accelerated opening and closing of the cardiac valve prosthesis to be tested up to 40 Hz. The test bench shall allow independent and separate testing of min. 6 cardiac valve prostheses and each test chamber shall be filled separately with different test media and shall be controlled and controlled in terms of test frequency, load amplitude and pressure range. In addition, the dynamometer and all its components shall meet the requirements of the standard family ISO 5840 and shall allow for the testing of surgically implantable and transcatheter heart valve prostheses.
