Netherlands-Noordwijk: Navigation satellites
The objective of this activity is to develop engineering tools and provide associated expertise to support EU Programmes in the analyses of RF spectrum regulatory aspects for the European GNSS systems and their potential augmentations in other orbits (e.g., LEO, IGSO). The tools shall implement all relevant ITU coordination methodologies for the assessment of RF compatibility of GNSS / SBAS / LEO-PNT systems with other RNSS and non-RNSS services considering Space-to-Earth, Earth-to-Space and Space-to-Space signal transmissions.
This activity belongs to Galileo/EGNOS Upstream R&D which is part of the space component of Horizon Europe, under which, in line with the signed FFPA and relevant Contribution Agreement, ESA is delegated by the European Commission to manage this activity. ESA adapted procurement rules will apply as per the ITT to be published (open Competition in 2 stages).
