The procurement shall take care of the Norwegian Defence ́s need for a stand-by contract for chartering all of Roll-on/Roll-off ships (RORO). The agreement shall ensure access to such resources at all times, even in crisis/war situations. The agreement is basically a "sleeping" agreement, but with a jump obligation for tenderers when necessary, also for exercise purposes, to cover the Norwegian Armed Forces' needs, including safeguarding the Norwegian Defence ́s operative ability. The procurement shall cover the Norwegian Defence ́s requirements nationally and internationally, also Norway in support of Allied forces, including NATO and other EU countries. Each vessel shall have capacity between 1000-1500 Lane metres (Lm) This is a framework agreement with one tenderer for four years, with an option for an extension for a further three years. The maximum duration of the framework agreement is seven years. The estimated value of the procurement is NOK 35 million excluding VAT.
