The Municipalities of Berg, Lenvik, Torsken, and Tranøy will merge from 1.1.2020 and create the new Senja kommune [Senja municipality] Senja Kommune [Senja Municipality] will have an area of 1 947 km2, approx. 15 000 inhabitants and over 2 200 employees.
