Description

Meat exports are a key focus of our work and make up a large proportion of our food and drink exports. To support our Irish meat producers in developing closer and longer-term relationships with their retail customers, we wish to understand how shoppers engage with the meat category in retail, both online and bricks and mortar. Shopper insight has been identified as a key tool to support our clients in retaining customers, driving premiumisation in Europe and increasing weight of purchase with key customers. We believe better shopper intelligence will greatly support our clients and Bord Bia’s overseas offices in their position as category experts. Our ambition is to use shopper intelligence as a calling card for Bord Bia and the Irish food industry at large when working with retailers around Europe and, in turn, help drive the growth of Irish meat exports. We want this piece of research to be the go-to for the industry when looking for shopper intelligence. We are seeking partner agencies who can continue the work of designing and disseminating best in class shopper insight in the meat category across Europe, and who can marry this data with a good understanding of the retail category. The partner agency should also bring innovative methods of packaging and sharing the data to ensure best use of the insights.
