Description

Die Stadtwerke Prenzlau GmbH beabsichtigen die Klimaneutralität bis zum Jahre 2045 zu erreichen. Das Potential der Wärmeversorgung in Prenzlau soll möglichst effektiv durch eine geothermische Quelle mit Wärme versorgt werden. Dabei sollen möglichst die vorhandenen geothermischen Standorte in Prenzlau Berücksichtigung finden. Für die Anhebung des Termperaturniveaus zur Einkopplung und Nutzung der geothermischen Wärme sollen Großwärmepumpen zum Einsatz kommen, die vorrangig in den vorhandenen baulichen Anlagen am Standort Thomas-Müntzer-Platz in 17291 Prenzlau zu installieren sind.
Als Wärmesenke der aus der Geothermie gewonnenen Wärmeenergie stehen drei Teilnetze der Fernwärme der Stadtwerke Prenzlau zur Verfügung, die zur optimalen Nutzung der Geothermie perspektivisch miteinander verbunden werden.
