Description

The pilgrimage city of Werl announces the redesign of parts of its pedestrian zone. The construction project is located about 15 km west of Soest in the inner stadium of Werl and includes a 5,900 square meter marketplace and a 300 meter long pedestrian zone section. The processing area has a total area of about 1,500 sqm. It is crossed by two motor roads and affected by one. The commercial and catering business is to be maintained over the entire construction period. 22 months are currently planned for the construction period. In addition to the complete redesign of the surfaces and equipment, the measure also includes the upgrading of the infrastructure (supply and disposal lines. In the course of the measure, the telecommunications companies will also partially upgrade their lines) The special feature is that archaeological finds are to be expected in the processing area, which is why work in deeper locations must be coordinated with the responsible department of the district of Soest (especially in the case of sewer rehabilitation and the production of evaporative beds). There will be three beneficiaries for the action. In advance, work is underway for the local utilities and waste disposal companies, which are mainly defined by trench work. The following main works are mainly demolition and production of paved surfaces (concrete pavement, cast and walnut asphalt surfaces and partly water-bound road ceilings). Furthermore, planting beds are to be prepared (planting is not carried out in this measure). The overall project is jointly implemented by the Werl municipal utilities, the Werl municipal enterprise and the city of Werl. In addition, third parties such as Telekom and Vodafon will relocate lines as part of the overall project. As part of the overall measure, the municipal utilities will carry out a renewal/renovation of electricity, gas and water pipes, including corresponding house connections, and install fibre-optic connections (see Title 03). The Werl municipal company will partially renew/refurbish the sewer system, including the corresponding house connections (see under Title 04). The city of Werl will renew the superstructure of the road fortification, produce plant beds and install new equipment (see under title 02).
