UK-Middlesbrough: Police station construction work
The Client requires a purpose built facility to meet the Clients current and future operational needs. The new Police.
Headquarters will be located on a currently unoccupied and clear site at Hemlington. The high level requirements for the design of a new police headquarters is as follows:
— a Headquarters building to replace the Ladgate Lane facility,
— a building which provides a total of 5 000 m² of accommodation,
— provision for 350 parking spaces including temporary parking for emergency and training,
— provision for communications mast,
— office accommodation with expansion provision,
— flexible open plan office accommodation,
— dedicated cellular facilities for specific force functions - Media Suite, Gold Command etc,
— energy efficient and to achieve BREEAM excellent,
— high quality design and specification which enhances the reputation of the Force - delivery of high quality services,
— enables the organisation in reducing it's carbon footprint, revenue costs and increase efficiencies from modern flexible working.
