UK-Warrington: sewage, refuse, cleaning and environmental services
Receipt, handling and composting of organic waste materials (ie garden waste) as collected and delivered to the composting site[s] in refuse vehicles owned by Warrington Borough Council, to produce a compost / soil improver, meeting the quality criteria compliant with BSI PAS100. The contractor must have all necessary licences for storage and treatment of such waste.
The council may consider the addition of food waste to the collected garden waste stream if this proves to be affordable - with this in mi nd the contract will be divided into lots to reflect this. This decision whether or not to include food waste within the garden waste stream will be made once an evaluation of tendered submissions is completed.
