Germany-Bad Schandau: Data-transmission equipment
The city of Bad Schandau intends to ensure the availability of NGA broadband connections for citizens and traders in the Bad Schandau, Prossen, Porschdorf, Waltersdorf, Ostrau, Postelwitz, Schmilka and Crippen districts. This important task is supported in the context of broadband development in accordance with the funding guidelines of the Saxon State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Transport to promote the roll-out of high-speed broadband networks and to equip tourist-relevant public areas with publicly accessible hot spots/WLAN (RL-Dios, published on 19 September 2 014 in Saxony’s Official Gazette No 42 of 16.10.2014). The requirements of this Directive are binding conditions for the award procedure.
An NGA broadband infrastructure is to be built in the underserved towns of Bad Schandau, Prossen, Porschdorf, Waltersdorf, Ostrau, Postelwitz, Schmilka and Crippen of the city of Bad Schandau by means of a competitive dialogue with public competition for participation on the basis of VOL/A in accordance with point 7.4.1 of the Dios Directive. Minimum transmission rates of at least 50 MBit/s Downstream and 5 MBit/s Upstream for at least 60 % and at least 30 MBit/s Downstream and 5 MBit/s Upstream shall be ensured for at least 95 % of the existing connections. Open wholesale access on the basis of the TKG’s price-fixing criteria is a mandatory condition under the tender procedure. The requirements of the Dios Directive also apply.
