UK-East Kilbride: foreign economic-aid-related services
Applications are sought for an independent organisation to manage the evaluation function for the new Girls' Education Challenge (GEC), a UK Government-funded initiative to support marginalised girls in education, through establishing partnerships with non-state providers, including the private sector, via a challenge fund approach. The Evaluation Manager’s primary responsibility is to track results effectively, feedback accurate assessments to the GEC Board and DFID and ensure lessons are available to inform GEC evolution and wider DFID programming. Working closely with the Fund Manager, the GEC Board and DFID the Evaluation Manager will design and lead on: tracking progress; evaluating lessons; supporting grantees to develop and deliver effective project M&E; in depth evaluations; expert advice; cost comparisons; evaluating the challenge fund approach and evidence base; a longitudinal study; and evaluation syntheses.
