Description

To increase the existing cleaning capacity with regard to Nitrogen requires an expansion of the biological treatment stage. The existing Biology 1 is demolished and rebuilt at the same place with a larger volume. This requires the dismantling and renewal of the existing return sludge pipes, the dismantling of the old discharge pipe and the dismantling of several shaft structures in parallel to the existing biological basin in the run-up to the conversion phase. During the conversion, the inflow to the wastewater treatment plant will be limited to 450 l/s plus the wastewater flow of Durst Malt. The biological purification of the waste water is limited to the tank volume of aeration tank 2 plus the remaining separate denitrification tank of aeration tank 1.
