Description

Total financing of the renewal and expansion of Campus Horw of CHF 567 million The real estate project "Campus Horw" is to be realized at the current location of the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU) - Technology & Architecture in Horw (Lucerne) (see campushorw.lu.ch). In addition to the new construction of several new buildings, in order to increase the area capacity, the existing buildings are extensively renewed. The Canton of Lucerne pursues the goal of creating a future-oriented education and innovation centre. The focus is on ensuring a long-term efficient infrastructure for public institutions such as the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts - Technology & Architecture (HSLU T&A) and the Lucerne University of Education (PHLU) with around 4,000 students and 1,000 employees today. The project is well advanced in planning and is managed by the Real Estate Department of the Canton of Lucerne. Construction activities are expected to start at the end of 2027 and will last around ten years, divided into three stages.
