Feasibility study to support the aboveground and subterranean water supply in the Straussees catchment area – Part 2 Sampling and analysis
A feasibility study will be carried out to support the above-ground and underground water supply in the Straussee catchment area. The feasibility study is intended to examine whether it is possible, under ecological and economic conditions, to return seawater from Lake Kriensee, which is mixed with congestion water from the water management of the limestone mine Rüdersdorf, to the inflows of the Strausse. In addition to the re-achievement of constant inflows into the Straussee, a drainage over Annafließ, Herrensee, Beckerfflow in the direction of Stienitzsee is also to be made possible after reaching the normal level in the Straussee. Thus, an ecologically stable state should again be established for these wetlands. For the intended measure, it will also be examined and assessed to what extent the discharge of “blended” congestion water into the Klostersee/Red Hofgraben, with outflow into the Straussee as WFD reporting waters, does not lead to any deterioration of the condition. The processing of the feasibility study is divided into two phases. The first phase, which had already been successfully completed, included questions regarding the efficiency and permitability of the water transfer from Lake Kriensee to the Straussee. In the second phase now advertised, questions regarding the water balance must be answered and the impact on the ecological and chemical status of the affected water bodies must be assessed. The services include the execution of measurements as well as sampling and the corresponding analysis.
