Marktconsultatie: preklinisch SPECT camera systeem
Currently, the department has access to small animal PET, PET/CT, and PET/MRI imaging systems, that were installed in a purpose-built new facility, the Groningen Small Animal Imaging facility (GronSAI). This facility additionally houses a 7.4T MRI and equipment for optical imaging. To complement and strengthen the current imaging equipment, with a view to multimodal cross-validation imaging, the department aims to purchase a small animal SPECT system, for the development, testing and validation of new (translational) imaging techniques for functional processes that underlie (healthy) ageing and disease. The small animal SPECT will be used for research in the fields of oncology, neurology, psychiatry, infection/inflammation and cardiology, and for the development of new theranostic ligands and methodology. The system will be installed in GronSAI and will be accessible for researchers from the UMCG and the University of Groningen, but also for researchers from outside and for pharmaceutical companies.
