Description

The state capital of Munich is planning the construction of a new Mobile Space Unit (MRE) as an alternative quarter for various schools on the outdoor sports areas of the Hirschbergstraße 33 primary school. The school building is to be built in wood system construction by a general contractor (GU). There is no Bplan. Due to the planned useful life, an indefinite application for construction law is required. The requirements for climate-friendly construction must be observed. The new building is to be designed for two types of school with different usage requirements. First, the local primary school is to be outsourced to the evasive quarter for the duration of the general overhaul with extension construction. Subsequently, the temporary partial relocation of a neighbouring grammar school is planned. If possible, open spaces of the existing school, e.g. rest area and parking lot, should also be used by the MRE. The goal is to get along with the change of school orientation as far as possible without remodeling requirements. Depending on the general conditions, the final dimensioning of the MRE must be coordinated. The aim is to design the school according to the principle of the field school, without the concept of a learning centre. Due to the inner-city location and impairments caused by traffic noise, special requirements for noise protection can be assumed. The evasive quarter is to be built on the southern part of the total plot. There are currently outdoor sports and lawn play areas as well as a separate, publicly accessible green and play area. The plot area intended for the MRE is largely flat and surrounded by protected trees and shrubs. The north-facing area with school recess yard and parking lot is slightly lower and is separated by a listed enclosure (wall) or fences. According to an area study carried out in 2024, a three-storey building with a GFA of approximately 4,050 m ² is to be assumed. The planned land area of the MRE is approx. 3,550 m ² plus approx. 600 m ² public green and play area. The total plot including the building is about 12,870 m ².
