Description

By tendering for regular services in Mühldorf am Inn from Mühldorf to Burghausen, the mode of transport made the requirement to replace three diesel-powered traction units with so-called hydrogen traction units (HEMUs). For this purpose, the transport company is using three Siemens Mireo Plus H HEMUs to continue operating the previous service in the Mühldorf am Inn regular service. The transport contract secures the financing of the project. Therefore, the desired target date for the commissioning of the filling station is the timetable change in December 2026. With the help of driving dynamics preliminary considerations and the analysis of existing circulation plans, a daily demand of 400 kg of hydrogen, divided into three refuelling processes, has been extrapolated. As part of a tender, the refuelling infrastructure for the Mühldorf am Inn site in Bavaria on the route 5700 Rosenheim - Mühldorf km 61.0 to 61.5 will be procured. The aim of the project is the construction, commissioning and technical operation of a hydrogen refuelling plant to supply the three HEMUs for DB Energie GmbH as the future operator of the refuelling plant. For this purpose, the above-mentioned location was determined to be the best possible transport and operational location. Track 423 is to be used for single-track refuelling and is intended for the installation of dispensers. The refueling plant is to be supplied entirely by on-site production by means of water electrolysis. As part of a conversion of the electrical power supply prepared by the AG, a 2.4 MW power connection is being prepared. In addition, provision should be made for the possibility of supplying the filling station with tank containers via road transport in order to ensure the refuelling capability in operation at all times. As part of this market research process, we send all interested parties a catalogue of questions for processing. Subsequently, from 09.12.2024, we would like to exchange information with all interested parties in individual appointments (digital) on the basis of the questionnaire on the described project. If you have concept ideas, we will be happy to discuss them with you. The further course of the market exploration experience is as follows: We kindly ask you to express your interest in writing by 04.12.2024 to: marina.leistner@deutschebahn.com (informal e-mail with reference to the reference number is sufficient). You will receive the questionnaire as feedback. From 09.12.2024, a discussion of the concepts between the specialist departments of DB Energie and the interested parties is planned. Important to know: - This is a market survey in which we want to identify potential efficient suppliers at an early stage and get in touch with them. - We would like to point out that this request is a non-binding market survey and not a procurement procedure. There is no right to conclude a contract. - In principle, a tender for the service will be initiated by the client at a later stage. - DB AG cannot be charged any costs for participating in the market survey or for services rendered with it. - If you have any questions, please contact: marina.leistner@deutschebahn.com We strongly encourage you to take the opportunity to work with us at a relatively early stage to find out which direction our planning and further project structuring could take.
