Description

The scope of services sought requires a multi disciplinary engineering and other specialist consultancy services, consisting of all services necessary or desirable for the purposeful delivery of the Key Measures of the commission as summarised below The key project deliverable is to successfully take the project through the following Stages Stage 1 Design and Environmental Evaluation Stage 2 Statutory Processes. and ultimately, to deliver a shovel ready project with statutory planning consent secured. The key objectives of the commission are to 1. Improve the visitor experience and dwell time through the provision of a promenade, extended marina and watersports facility. 2. Enhancing opportunities to be active in nature and improve both physical and visual connectivity with the River Shannon and Lough Ree. 3. Pursue a development strategy that is focused on improving the functionality and attractiveness of the waterfront area. This is an area that are already developed and steers development away from less developed areas which are subject to environmental sensitivities. 4. Secure improvements to existing access arrangements through a range of sustainable transport measures and improved car parking arrangements The key measures to be delivered as part of the commission to achieve the objectives are summarized below The Promenade Development The Marina Development Reimagined Water Play Experience Access Parking and Transport Strategy
