New building Bildungscampus Eslohe - object planning for buildings and interiors
Note: Not all information for this procedure were successfully computed. Please consult linked documents for more details.
At the educational location Eslohe is the central competence center of the roofing trade in Westphalia. The site combines vocational training at school, accommodation for apprentices, catering services as well as training and further education measures in a cohesive campus. The existing building infrastructure dates mainly from 1968 and 1985. The existing buildings no longer meet today's requirements for a modern educational and boarding school location, both in terms of their functional structure and in terms of structural, energy-related and usage-specific quality. In particular, the existing mixed use of teaching, administration, housing and catering within the existing buildings leads to organizational restrictions and makes it difficult to implement the educational mandate in a timely manner. Even the housing situation in the dormitory area no longer meets the current requirements. The currently mostly existing multi-bed rooms with communal sanitary facilities offer only limited quality of stay and living. In addition, there are deficits in leisure, residence and communication areas for trainees. As part of a feasibility study, various development opportunities for the site were investigated. On the basis of the results, the client has decided to implement a replacement new construction concept. In this way, the functional, organizational, pedagogical and energetic requirements are to be fulfilled in the long term and at the same time the ongoing school and dormitory operation is to be ensured during the realization.
