Germany-Münster: Engineering services
The objective of the project is for the City of Münster to demonstrate, in addition to the arrondation and a meaningful expansion of the district heating areas, that the combination of large CHP plants to be built in the periphery of the grid with heat storage facilities and the plant park to be operated as a ‘virtual thermal power plant’ means that district heating can be supplied almost entirely throughout the year on the basis of combined heat and power. Particular attention is given to managing the complex overall system in order to achieve maximum energy efficiency in the city of Münster and thus to make an important contribution to the protection of clinics in the city of Münster.
