Market Design, Build and Maintain (DBM). The Belgian Defence plans to launch a negotiated procedure with publicity in 2025 for the design, construction and maintenance (DBM) of a new military quarter in Charleroi. This military quarter will house various Defence units. The project concerns the complete subdivision of the site of approximately 27 ha with, inter alia, the following facilities: • Connections to existing viability (roads, energy, drainage, supply, etc.); • Infrastructure for administrative functions: offices, meeting rooms, changing rooms and cafeterias; • Training infrastructure: classrooms, outdoor and indoor training areas, simulation complex and covered shooting range; • Infrastructure for the maintenance of military vehicles: workshops, handling and storage areas; • Garage and parking areas for military vehicles; • Medical and paramedical infrastructure in the form of a first-line care centre and a crèche; • Housing, sports and Horeca facilities; • Parking areas for civil vehicles; • Fences including security installations.
