Description

Universum Bremen is a science center with an experiential character. Visitors can experience scientific phenomena with all their senses on numerous exhibits. The universe consists of the permanent exhibition building, the special exhibition building and the outdoor area, whereby the whale-shaped permanent exhibition building is an architectural landmark of Bremen. The Universum Bremen is to be extended by a third concise solitaire (approximately 2,850 m2 GFA) east of the existing building, which can be connected to the existing building via a bridge. The new "Kosmoskop" extension will house a foyer, offices, workshops (makerspaces/fablabs), storage and technical areas, among other things. The core of the extension will be a 250 m2 dome hall with a 360° projection area. It should be taken into account that the dome hall can be used as a venue, for example for company parties.
