Electricity delivery 2027 - GSI
The GSI Helmholtzzentrum für Schwerionenforschung GmbH (GSI) requires electrical energy for the operation of the buildings, research facilities and other operating sites. The acceptance points are located in the network area of e-Netz Südhessen AG. Annual consumption is forecast for the coming years in these documents (see Figures 1 and 2 in the LV). Existing supply contracts expire on 31.12.2026. As part of this call for tenders, the tender will be awarded for a period of three years from 1 January 2027. In addition, there is a one-sided option to extend the delivery by one year. The GSI operates scientific experimental facilities (particle accelerators) for the research of heavy metals. The accelerator plants at GSI are existing plants that are currently running through a fire event in base load operation. The operation of the accelerator has a significant impact on the power supply. In the energy industry, it is common for standard consumers to forecast future consumption values based on past data. This method leads to insufficient accuracy for energy procurement, among other reasons due to the fire. Therefore, forecast values have been added for the "large" acceptance points. The forecast values for the individual acceptance points are listed in the Appendix "1a Acceptance Point List Strom GSI.xlsx". Furthermore, there is a forecast simulation as load gait for the large RLM acceptance points. These are included in the procurement documents in the files "1b LG Simulation 2027 with visualization current GSI.xlsx", "1c LG Simulation 2028 with visualization current GSI.xlsx" and "1d LG2025.xlsx".
