Description

The municipality of Südlohn is implementing the new construction of the von Galen primary school in compliance with DGNB Quality Level 2 (QS2). The property is located in the western part of the district of Oeding, where the current von Galen primary school is already located. The school operation of the previous dual elementary school continues during the construction phase. The two-storey new building will be built in solid construction in the area of the schoolyard. The outer walls are made of reinforced concrete with a wooden facade, the inner walls are partly solid, partly in dry construction. A basement is not foreseen. The roof structure consists partly of a wooden beam layer and a reinforced concrete ceiling, each with thermal insulation and bituminous sealing, on the roof surface a photovoltaic system is installed.
