The programme ‘Growth and Sustainable Renewal – Shaping Living Values in Neighbourhoods’ supports cities and municipalities in coping with economic and demographic change in areas affected by significant loss of urban planning functions and structural changes. The aim is to enable cities and municipalities at an early stage to adapt to structural changes and the associated urban development effects. It focuses on the development of fallow land to support housing construction and the development of new quarters and public space. Environmental and ecological aspects, such as adaptation to climate impacts, are increasingly taken into account.
