Denmark-Copenhagen: Air transport services
The task offered consists of approximately 225 flight hours per year, bringing the ice centre’s ice observer from Narsarsuaq to navigally relevant ice melt locations 1 to 3 times a week for visual reconnaissance and photography inside and outside screens. In certain situations, the ice observer must be able to communicate with ships at sea for guidance on safe navigation in ice areas. As a general rule, flights are scheduled with one week’s notice and all the geographical area specified in the tender documents must be flown weekly, but the supplier must also have the capacity to meet the requirements for extraordinary flights as well as changes in flight plans and flight cancellations.
DMI cannot offer hangar to the bidder’s aircraft, so the bidder should either secure an agreement for the rental of hangar in Greenland or fly in accordance with the weekly flight plans including any ad hoc flights.
