Description

The city of Mayen intends to build a new gymnasium with a canteen and additional classrooms on the grounds of the St. Veit elementary school in Mayen. The new building is planned as a multi-storey building in wood frame construction or in solid wood construction. A combined use of sports, cafeteria and school areas is planned. The new building is directly connected to the existing school building, so that a closed building is created. The building parts interlock in sub-areas over two floors, so that a barrier-free connection of the corridor areas between existing and new buildings is established. On the ground floor there is an indoor sports hall as well as a canteen including the necessary auxiliary, storage, technical and functional rooms. Both the sports hall and the canteen are planned as larger, as low-support areas as possible and therefore place increased demands on structural design and constructive training. In the 1st Upstairs, a gymnastics room with the associated adjoining rooms is provided. In the 2nd Classrooms as well as other school usable areas are arranged on the upper floor or relay floor. Due to the overlapping different uses, the large spans in the area of the sports hall and the canteen on the ground floor as well as the planned multi-storey wooden construction, special requirements arise for the structural design. This applies in particular to load transfer from the upper floors, the development of an economical and sustainable structure, building stiffening and ensuring suitability for use. Special planning requirements also exist with regard to the vibration behaviour of the supporting structure, the increased sound insulation between the different areas of use and the structural fire protection in timber construction. In addition, early and close coordination with property planning and other specialist planning is required. The roof surfaces are provided as a flat roof construction with extensive or intensive roof greening. In addition, the installation of a photovoltaic system is planned. The structural design therefore has to take into account the additional effects of roof greening, water retention, substrate construction, snow and traffic loads, photovoltaic system including substructure or erection, wind and wind so-glasses as well as other technical roof structures. In addition, the requirements of building physics to be developed within the scope of this contract must be taken into account in the structural design. This applies in particular to requirements for thermal bridge minimization, air tightness, structural connections, material and component structures as well as the integration of energy and sound insulation requirements into the supporting structure. A close and continuous coordination process must be ensured between structural design and building physics during all planning phases in order to implement the structural, energy and sound insulation requirements in an economically and professionally coordinated manner. The subject of this invitation to tender is the structural design services as well as the construction physics services described below for the planned replacement of a gymnasium with canteen, fresh food kitchen and classrooms on the grounds of the St. Veit elementary school in Mayen. The replacement building is to be built as a multi-storey building in wood construction. Due to the chosen construction method and the different areas of use, there are increased requirements for the static design, the building physics planning as well as the energy quality of the building. The services advertised must therefore be provided in a cross-disciplinary manner and in close coordination with property planning and other specialist planning. The services to be awarded include the structural design according to §§ 49 et seq. HOAI in the service phases 1 to 6.

Criterion:
Type: quality
