Description

For the metro stops in Hamburg, accessibility is generally a process of retrofitting, which in some cases involves significant interference with the construction works. In 2011, the FHH set up an acceleration programme for the barrier-free extension of metro stops.
By the end of 2019, 78 out of 91 stops will be accessible.
The remaining stops are to be expanded by the middle of the next decade.

All other necessary technical and site designs necessary for the construction of the Sternschanz station will be awarded as a separate contract (not part of this call for tenders) as part of a master designer service. The services of the indoor site design build on the services of the project manager. An early integration of the indoor site planning into the master designer’s performance should ensure that all the services are guaranteed as a single plant to produce the overall project for the new construction of the Sternschanz stop.
