Due to the plant age of about 69 years, the overhead line of the line 4000 from km 209,104 in Freiburg Hbf to km 223,459 in Bad Krozingen is due for renewal. Due to the renewal of the overhead contact line system, modifications to the noise barriers and retaining walls along the route are required. The project is divided into four construction phases: - BA1: Freiburg Hbf - Abzw. Leutersberg; km 209,104 to km 214,321; - BA2: Abzw. Leutersberg; km 214,321 to km 215,496; - BA3: Abzw.
