Netherlands-Gouda: Regenerated activated carbon
The Cooperating Water Companies (SWB) EVIDES and oases organise a market consultation for the establishment of a Life Cycle Analysis Methodology (LCA) prior to an envisaged tender.
The SWB uses granular activated carbon in the production of drinking water. The saturated activated carbon shall be reactivated over time. The SWB intends to procure the services for the reactivation of activated carbon in the second half of this year. As the SWB aims to become climate neutral over time, the SWB aims to reduce CO2 emissions from the reactivation of saturated activated activated carbon. Reducing CO2 emissions will be part of the contract award in the planned tender. The above LCA will be used to determine CO2 emissions.
