Description

The city of Oberhausen aims to increase the proportion of cycling and thereby save greenhouse emissions among other greenhouse gas emissions. To this end, various measures to promote cycling are already being implemented in Oberhausen. However, in many cases there is a lack of adequate basic data to plan and prioritise appropriate measures. In particular, there is no information on cycling routes and cycling loads on individual routes. The aim of this project is to create an appropriate data base through GPS data collection and evaluation of cycle routes driven. The collected cycling data allows for better cycling management and evaluation of measures to promote cycling.
