Description

Acquisition of a high productivity sequencing platform based on nanopore technology including warranty/maintenance services for 24 months . The instrumentation shall meet the following characteristics:  Nanopore-based sequencing platform for direct sequencing of native DNA and RNA molecules using long-reads;  the possibility of sequencing without the need for PCR amplification, DNA synthesis or optical detection;  direct identification of epigenetic modifications of DNA and RNA during the sequencing process;  high sequencing capacity, suitable for large-scale genomic and transcriptomic applications;  acquisition, basecalling and processing of data in real time, with immediate availability of the results during the execution of the experiment;  possibility to carry out independent experiments at the same time using dedicated flow cells that can be managed independently;  possibility to stop the sequencing upon reaching the desired coverage and to recover the library for subsequent reuse;  the possibility of selective enrichment or depletion of specific genomic regions directly during sequencing (Adaptive Sampling), without further steps in library preparation, PCR amplification or chemical treatments;  integrated system including instrumentation control, data acquisition, basecalling, primary bioinformatics analysis and sequencing workflow management;  a high-productivity platform with a small footprint compared to the services offered, allowing it to be installed in research laboratories without the need for dedicated infrastructure. The equipment required for the purchase must also:  allow long-reads to be obtained, suitable for advanced genomic, transcriptomic and epigenomic applications;  integrate data acquisition, basecalling and primary bioinformatics analyses in real time, also allowing direct alignment of sequences to reference genomes during the execution of the experiment;  allow up to 24 fully independent experiments to be performed simultaneously by means of 24 dedicated flow cells, each of which can be managed independently, allowing the start-up, interruption, replacement or reuse of individual flow cells without interfering with other ongoing experiments;  allow the sequencing of native DNA and RNA molecules between about 20 bp and millions of bases, being suitable both for the analysis of short fragments and for applications based on ultra-long molecules;  guarantee a production capacity of up to 200 Gb of data per single flow cell, allowing to obtain a coverage of about 30× of the human genome for each flow cell and being suitable for genomic and transcriptomic applications with high complexity.
