Description

Electrification and attractiveness are planned for line 1072 / St. Pölten Hbf – Traisen, line 1071 / Traisen – Hainfeld and line 1511 / Traisen – Freiland. The measures are to be found in the submission planning concerning the railway infrastructure between St. Pölten to Traisen, Traisen to Hainfeld and Traisen to Freiland and have the following main objectives: - Upgrading of existing routes: General modernisation measures (safety measures at level crossings, etc.) are being taken along the existing route to enable shorter travel times. In order to ensure the efficient operation of passenger transport, it is necessary to improve the existing intersection facilities. - Electrification: The infrastructure expansion includes the electrification of the entire railway line between St. Pölten to Traisen, Traisen to Hainfeld and Traisen to Schrambach. This step will lead to a reduction in CO2 and thus make an important contribution to climate and environmental protection. The following measures are planned for the project area: - Reconstruction of the overhead contact line from St. Pölten to Traisen - Reconstruction of the overhead contact line from Traisen to Schrambach - Reconstruction of the overhead contact line from Traisen to Hainfeld - Construction of a modern safety system with integration into the operational management centre in Vienna - Reconstruction/adaptation/conversion of the existing EC systems according to EisbKrV 2012, the railway intersections or non-public railway crossings - Area-wise superstructure work on the line and in the operating points - Area-wise substructure work on the line and production of a cable trough - Area-wise renewal of trench walls and passages - Area-wise renewal of retaining walls and embankment safeguards - Adaptation of stations and stops with partial renewal and extension of the existing railway platforms Text automatically translated in your browsing language Automatically translated
