Az Észak-budai fűtőmű kéménye 2006-ban teljeskörű felülvizsgálaton esett át, aminek szakértői véleményezése alapján a kémény külső felülete 2 részletben teljeskörűen felújításra került. A vizsgálat óta eltelt 18 év indokolttá teszi a kémény belső felületek szerkezetek és berendezések ismételt átvizsgálását.
