FW interconnector Vorwerk - St. Lorenz, Lübeck (TWB)
The project aims to expand and optimise the energy infrastructure by connecting two existing district heating networks via a 3.2-kilometre-long transport line between Schwartauer Allee (Vorwerk) and Ziegelstraße (St. Lorenz) in Lübeck. Sub-sections are already available as existing lines along the route. The three planned construction phases close the remaining gaps and thus complete the overall connection. A total of about 2.5 kilometres of new pipelines will be laid in order to create a continuous and efficient heat transport route. Technically, mainly pipe dimensions DN 400 (with 630 mm sheath diameter per pipe) and in the area of the brick road DN 200 (DN 350) are used, adapted to existing infrastructure and traffic conditions. 1. BA [Schwartauer Allee (Nord)], DN400, 750m: 10/2026 - 06/2028 2. BA (Schwartauer Allee), DN400, 950m: 10/2026 - 08/2028 3. BA (Brick Road), DN200, 780m: 03/2027 - 11/2028 The construction includes in particular civil engineering, pipeline and qualified welding work in accordance with the applicable district heating regulations. Prerequisite for the execution is by presenting an independent certification by approved organization, e.g. according to AGFW FW 601 (FW1,st), in order to ensure a professional and quality-assured implementation.
