Description

Om rijdraadbreuk door overmatige slijtage te voorkomen, is een goede meting van de rijdraaddikte essentieel. Met deze meetgegevens kan ProRail nauwkeurige vervangingsplannen maken om rijdraadbreuken en daarmee grote storingen te voorkomen.
De bovenleiding op het open spoor wordt al gemeten door een meettrein, maar ProRail zocht een oplossing voor de emplacementen. In een samenwerkingsproject tussen TNO en ProRail is een systeem ontwikkeld voor nauwkeurige metingen op de emplacementen. Dit rijdraaddiktemeetsysteem heeft de naam 'BTON' meegekregen (Better Thickness measurement Overhead wires in the Netherlands).
ProRail wil de mogelijkheden onderzoeken om de BTON in te zetten. Ben je bereid om met ons mee te denken over de operationalisering van de BTON?
