Description

The subject of the contract is to develop a method for assessing the ecological status of rivers on the basis of studies on their thiofauna and to develop and implement a system for monitoring fish in rivers. Obtaining information for the assessment of the status of river water bodies, which will then be used for national purposes (Ministry of Environment and other decision-making centres and the public) and for reporting to the European Commission (including through the European Environment Agency), in accordance with the requirements laid down in national and European Union law, in view of the implementation of the acquis communautaire’s obligations to monitor and assess surface water status (Directive 2000/60/EC. The Water Framework Directive (WFD) transposed into the Water Law Act (Journal of Laws 2005/239, item 2019 as amended).
