Description

The service covers the emptying of HSY's hazardous waste collection points and the transport of waste to HSY's Kivikko waste service centre's hazardous waste storage facility (Kivikonlaita 5, Helsinki). The reception points are HSY's Sortti stations and Sortti containers and cabinets, which are mainly connected to service stations and recycling centres. The waste at the collection points originates from the residents of the Helsinki metropolitan area. The service currently covers 27 collection points that are regularly emptied. Current scores on the map in Annex 1. Most of the collection points are Sortti containers or cabinets. In addition, the service includes four hazardous waste collection points at the Sortti station of HSY. The number of collection points may vary during the service, for example, if Sortti containers are taken out of use or there are more of them, or if HSY opens a new Sortti station. The addresses of the collection points and the drainage rhythms are described in Annex 2. Drainage rhythms can vary according to the seasons, e.g. in winter rhythms can be thinned and in summer they can be denser.
