Description

Die Fassade des Hochhauses "Gebäude 3408" der Leibniz Universität Hannover (LUH) an der Appelstraße 9a soll erneuert werden. Die vorhandene Fassadenkonstruktion, bestehend aus umlaufenden Fensterbändern und mit asbesthaltigen Faserzementplatten verkleideten Mauerwerksbrüstungen sowie vorgelagerten Wartungsbalkonen, ist stark baufällig. Zum
Schutz vor herabfallenden Fassadenteilen ist das Hochhaus derzeit in ein Sicherungsnetz eingehüllt. Im Zuge der Fassadensanierung soll außerdem eine Dachsanierung erfolgen. Das Erdgeschoss, welches derzeit als Foyer und Cafeteria
genutzt wird, soll zu einer Versammlungsstätte umgenutzt werden. Dies bedingt des Weiteren einen Umbau der Lüftungszentrale im 6. Obergeschoss. Das 18-geschossige Gebäude hat einen rechteckigen Grundriss von ca. 52 m x 28 m
bei einer Attikahöhe von ca. 64 m. Inklusive des zweigeschossigen Technikaufbaus auf dem Dach beträgt die Gesamthöhe 72,2 m. Auf der Nordseite befindet sich das außenliegende Fluchttreppenhaus.
